Non-Passenger plates are generally classified as “everything else” – Commercial truck, trailer, dealer, etc.
Connecticut has issued a wide variety of these types, which makes it one of the more interesting states to collect plates from. Up until recently, most of these plates had the type boldly embossed at the top or bottom of the plate – making it clear that the vehicle was registered as a “HEARSE” or that the plate you see was on a “CONSTRUCTION” vehicle.
Non-passenger plates are of particular interest to me. If you have any oddball types not pictured here, drop me a note. It may be possible that I know the type well, but just don’t have an example of it yet.
